Mission Statement
• Our Motto: "Farmtastic: From the Farm to the Fork"tm
• We are proud to announce that we use USDA & EPA certified
environmentally - friendly, biodegradable "Certified
Green" cleaners and sanitizers to clean our meat
processing equipment.
• We are a family owned and operated business and
we, the Perkins, would not put
anything on your table that we would not put
on ours! You deserve the finest!
• We operate under the USDA Federal inspection H.A.C.C.P.
program (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control
Points). The USDA inspection team performs monthly
testing for E-coli and listeria.
- A USDA H.A.C.C.P. inspector inspects all livestock
coming into our plant for slaughter. Inspection is performed pre-mortem (before slaughter): as well as post – mortem
(after slaughter).
- All livestock are examined for hoof and mouth disease, BSE (mad cow disease),
cancer, tuberculosis, brucellosis, pneumonia, and any other type of bovine contagious diseases.
- Any animal that is
suspected of harboring any disease or illness is further evaluated by a USDA veternarian and if the suspect animal
is unfit for human consumption it is condemned and destroyed.
- Under the H.A.C.C.P. program, all critical control points of processing
are monitored. Each monitored station is subject to the plant supervisor as well as the USDA inspector. There are 9 such critical
control points in our plant.
- None of our meat products are processed from boxed trimmings, nor do we bring in animals from overseas. We
do not mix “ composite batches “ for our burger.
- All of our meats sold here have an established point of origin and can be
traced back to the farm.
- We are committed to offering meat products that have not been adulterated by the use of steroids, antibiotics,
liquid nitrogen, red dyes, fillers, variety meats or cloning.
- Farmers Pride (Bell & Evans) Chicken products are distributed to
our plant from a Pennsylvania farm co – operative and are inspected on a regular basis for salmonella.
- All of our meat products
are handled under sterile conditions in which we employ the use of sterile gloves, aprons, and coats for sanitation and cleanliness
during processing.
- Our mission is to offer our customers the safest meat products on the market today.
- God owns our business and we desire to glorify Him and His son, Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12
