Whitefeather Meats is a family owned and operated business. We have been farmers for generations and offer you the same compassion and quality of work for your animals that we would expect for our own. Our goal is to offer superior service to other farmers in our community.
We are federally inspected by the USDA – FSIS (United States Department of Agriculture – Food Safety and Inspection Service), and perform all slaughtering on premises in accordance with the Humane Slaughter Act.
When you bring your animal in for processing you will be assisted with the unloading by a family member who will record your name, phone number, and address. A description of your animal, along with the gender and animal’s age, will also be documented. The animal will then be tagged and the number logged. The tag will remain with the animal throughout the entire process.
Each animal is processed separately and your meat will not be mixed or blended with any other throughout the entire process. This includes smoked product on your bison or beef, and hams, bacon, and sausage on hogs. The meat you bring in is the meat you get back, guaranteed. We vacuum seal everything, excluding patties, for maximum freshness and freezer life.
We keep your cutting instructions, along with any of your customer’s cutting instructions, on file for 2 years. This information can be quickly referenced each time you process any animal. Records of tag numbers and hanging weights of each animal are also archived for at least years.
Beef or bison can be separated into quarters (front/hind or half of a half) or into halves and marked with an individual designation. Hogs can be divided into halves.
We will have all product boxed and will load it into your vehicle upon your arrival for pickup.
